Chris BerlinCounselor to Buddhist Students & Instructor in Ministry and Pastoral Counseling at Harvard Divinity School
Chris Berlin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his teaching:
Academic Background: Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Harvard Divinity School; Bachelor's degree in Buddhist and Hindu Religions and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Professional Experience: Former interfaith chaplain at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where he taught meditation and mindfulness to both patients and clinicians.
Teaching Interests: Counseling theory and practice, contemplative approaches to clinical chaplaincy, Buddhist training in end-of-life care, mindfulness and resilience theory, positive psychology, compassion, and the contemplative arts.
Buddhist Practice: A lay teacher in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, with extensive practice in both Vipassana and Tibetan Buddhist disciplines.
Community Engagement: Co-founder of "Satigata," a music and chanting group that blends Buddhist-oriented chanting with indie-folk influences to create contemplative community experiences.
